Software Requirements
The interactive map requires the Adobe SVG Viewer, which can be downloaded below.

Mozilla Firefox users may have to allow software installations from http://plugindoc.mozdev.org to use the Install links on this site. Alternatively, just download the standalone installers and use them instead.

The Map interface has two panels: the View Panel displays the map, and the Control Panel allows you to interact with the map.

View Panel

Maps are displayed in this panel, based on your selections in the control panel. You can move your mouse over this region and the corresponding latitude and longitude will be displayed in the control panel. You may right-click your mouse to make one of several selections:

Map Navigator

This section shows a thumbnail view of the entire map. You may move the slider between the [+] and [-] to zoom in or out in the main View Panel. The Map navigator also provides 6 controls:

Full screen Click once to restore the map view to full screen mode
Zoom Click once, then subsequently move your mouse over the map view, press the left-mouse button and select a rectangular region on the map to zoom in
Drag Click once, then subsequently click and hold over the map in order to pan up, down, left, or right
Center Click once, then subsequently click on a point on the map to center the entire map on that point
Increase font Click once to increase the size of the text fonts for labels on the map
Decrease font Click once to decrease the size of the text fonts for labels on the map

Layers

This section allows you to select the layers of data you wish to display. There are two components:

Legend

In the View Panel, a legend box is usually visible, and this is a floating window that can be re-positioned by dragging it with your mouse and pressing the left-mouse button while you drag the window. You may hide or display the legend window by pressing the “Hide Legend” button on the Control Panel.
