The Africa Clinical Trials Portal (ACTP) Toolkit is a valuable resource for all members of the clinical trials community. The goal of the Toolkit is to facilitate access to scientific information and create a forum for knowledge-sharing among African researchers. The Toolkit was developed with the vision of helping to strengthen research capacity and encourage networking and collaboration among researchers in Africa.
The Toolkit has several features including an on-line document library, discussion boards for important topics related to malaria, HIV/AIDS, and TB in Africa, and collaborative worksites with task lists, event calendars, and contact lists which can be password-protected for exclusive use by a particular research group. In addition, the Toolkit provides current news feeds and easy access to information on conferences, training workshops, research tools, ethics and regulatory guidelines, funding opportunities, African research networks, jobs, and products in the clinical trials pipeline.
There are three methods for loading the toolkit. You can load them in a new, popup window, so that you may also continue to search trials and sites. You may load them in this same window. Or, you may load them inside of this portal.
